The Project

The Unique OrganArt Library

Honouring the European Organ Cultural Heritage

Organists and organ enthusiasts throughout the world appreciate the cultural value and the unique diversity of the European organ landscape. Each historic organ masterpiece uniquely reflects the culture of those the organ was built for.

The Organ Art Library project, established by Prof. Helmut Maier in 2002, would like to keep this extensive cultural treasure alive. Having begun as a scientific approach years ago, today this project allows organists all over the world access to the sound of European organ monuments with an unprecedented degree of realism.
